New Features
Google AI Mode Support
Google AI Mode is the section at the top of the Google Search Website displayed with the heading: 🔹 AI Overview.
WitnessAI can observe user conversations and intentions, apply guardrails, and perform guardrail actions like block or warn.

Feature Updates
VS Code: Expanded Agentic Observability
WitnessAI now captures tool call activity from the VS Code Claude Code extension when MCP-connected tools are used (such as Slack and other MCP integrations). Previously, only the main conversation was visible in the console. Customers now have complete visibility into agentic activity — including individual tool calls — initiated from VS Code.
Windows Devices: Full AI Domain Coverage
A new configuration option enables WitnessAI to capture all AI domain traffic via Stunnel on Windows managed devices. This addresses coverage gaps for customers using a combined PAC and proxy solution on Windows, ensuring that AI activity on Windows endpoints is fully visible in the console.
Known Issues
No known issues identified in this release.
Fixed Issues
Notable issues fixed in this release:
- Excel Online: Prompts and messages now captured: Prompts sent in Excel Online were not being captured in the console, and guardrail custom messages were not being displayed to users. Both issues have been resolved.
- Alerts Page: Significant performance improvement: For tenants with large alert volumes, the Alerts page was taking over 30 seconds to load and frequently failing to return results at all. Load times have been substantially reduced.
- App Catalog: www-prefixed domains now saved correctly: When adding a domain that included a www prefix (e.g., www.example.com) to the App Catalog, the prefix was silently removed and the domain was stored without it. Domains are now saved exactly as entered.
- Agents View: Sorted by Agent Actions correctly: The Agents flyout panel was not sorting entries by “Agent Actions” as expected. Sort order has been corrected.
- Tool Call Cards: Error states now displayed: Tool Call cards in the console were not showing an error state when a tool call failed. Cards now correctly reflect error conditions, making it easier to triage agentic activity.
- Alerts Export: JSON field name corrected: Exported Alerts JSON files contained an outdated field name (risk) instead of the current field name (severity). Exports now use the correct field name, consistent with the rest of the platform.
- Conversations: Session pagination no longer errors: Queries to retrieve conversation session data using the pagination parameter were returning 500 errors. This has been resolved, improving reliability of session data retrieval.
- Managed Devices: VPN and device management connectivity restored: An issue in the WitnessAI device agent was causing VPN and device management connectivity failures on some managed Windows devices. The underlying conflict has been resolved.
